I'm moving....
to Maine!
I got an offer from another district in my company. As crazy as it sounds: I"ll be taking a step down but getting an $11,000 a year raise. I am so excited!!! I have to figure out how to pack, buy a car and find a place to live in the next 2 weeks.

And what a change that will be. Even as a foreigner I can realise the differences between 1 state and the other. Well you have the sea coast in common right?

We have the same coast but the biggest difference will be the climate change. I'll be glad to not sweat year round!!! I'll have to adjust to snow, but I'll manage. I'm going to try and find a place as close to work as I can so I won't have too much of a driving issue when it snows.

Good luck with your move. I hope everything works out as you like it to be. Driving in snow is not so bad once you have get used to it (and when the people around you are used to it).

Best of wishes with your move and new job position. Maine has some of the friendliest "down-home" people, the further north you go it seems the nicer they are. Enjoy!
