My oven sits at the bottom of my garden. I fire it up regularly. I bake bread, pizza, cake, Sunday lunch, stews etc. in it. I would love to invite people from my local community into my garden. I would like to share my oven with my local community and give them an insight into alternative ways of producing cheap homecooked food.
However, Health and Safety Regulations are preventing me from fulfilling my ambition at the moment.
I live in a 'council house'. I fear that I may be forced to leave my home or dismantle my oven if council officials find out about my oven. Nevertheless, I will continue to look for ways that will allow me to fulfill my ambition.
What a wonderful idea, wish you luck, and it looks fantastic...
clap clap Mudfairy, I like the way you are running "your" community, be proud of it
I hate it that when people have such great things that the council would even think of making take down. It's a lovely oven
That's fantastic, did you build it yourself?
What a lovely thought wanting to share with your local community. We are very lucky to have neighbours with their own pizza oven in the garden and we get the benefit of their cooking skills from time to time.
Best of luck and I hope you don't run into problems from the council.
O it is beautiful! Good luck with your plans!
