About
1) We're from the UK, the North East... Redcar if you want to be specific ... We are a rather ordinary family of 5 (2 adults, 3 small children all under 10)... we started this experiment in december 2011 to find out if we really could be healthier (and save money) on a 1940s ration diet.
We, like most families in our area, live on a small income and, up until 2 years ago, had debts too big for us to repay. We adjusted our way of living by cutting down, cutting back, cutting out and generally taking a realistic look at what was REALLY important. 2 years later this rationing experiment came from a question... could 1940s rationing help a modern day family?
